Pondering Faith with Our Senses
Wednesdays at 7:30pm (Hybrid Zoom and In-person)
We will have Zoom Evening Prayer services for Lent on Wednesdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
In the context of sung Evening Prayer, we will pause to reflect on a different aspect of Christian faith using our imaginations, our five senses, and our hearts to draw us into deeper connection with God and with one another.
- March 1 = With the poetry of Naomi Shihab Nye, we will ponder the life of Jesus through imagination and word.
- March 8 – Engaging our hands and our eyes, we will color as we meditate on the Tree of Life in scripture and liturgy.
- March 15 – The light, heat, and hope of candles will help us offer intercessory prayers for ourselves, our loved ones, our communities, and our world.
- March 22 – We will meditate on the Bread of Life using our senses of smell, touch, and taste.
- March 29 – Hymn lyrics and music deepen our thinking on the depth of love shown to us in Jesus’ death on the cross as sung in the Lenten hymn, There in God’s Garden.
Join us for something a little different each week, as we deepen our connections with God through the holy season of Lent.
Soup Suppers Return! – at least a couple of them.
We are planning on having those suppers on the first (March 1) and last (March 29) Wednesdays in Lent. Soup Suppers will be at 6:30pm and sign-up sheets for soup, bread, and beverages will be posted in the hallway.
